- Updates install themselves: click Update and AEShot Studio downloads the new version, checks its signature, installs it and opens again in a moment. An update that fixes an important problem is shown again until it is installed.

- The app's icon follows the system's light or dark appearance, on windows and, with KDE's Breeze Dark icons, in the application menu.
- Japanese, Chinese and Korean text appears in a clean sans-serif font.
- The welcome window is readable in dark mode, and Settings no longer says that the app never checks for updates.
- Check for Updates… is in the menu and in Settings.
